Personality: Egocentric, mocking, sarcastic and quite volatile. In public he manages to control his temper, but with enemies he has emotional outbursts, especially anger. Can seem friendly and kind, but don’t let him fool you, he is quite manipulative and doesn’t care about other’s feelings.

=STORY INFO=

Backstory:

Since he was a child, he was quite oppressed by his over religious parents. “Don’t do this, don’t do that, this is a sin, this other thing is too, this person is a bad influence, that other is even worse” If he ever did something wrong, even if it was a little detail, he’d get beaten up. He was also quite pressured at school, his parents always wanting a perfect grade from him. They didn’t let him have any friends, nor did he have any kind of social life outside his home.  He was a genius at everything, but his passion was chess. By the age of 7 he could win a match against a professional player.

He was a genius at school, always at the top of his class, and hearing his parents saying how a great student he was, made him develop an enormous ego, and he never accepted when he did something wrong, even if that led him to have big problems, even with his parents.

He held a bitter relationship with them, speaking to them as least as possible, and when they did hold a normal conversation, it ended up in a fight and Tamako being severely grounded and/or yelled at.

His powers started manifestoing one day in which his father was screaming at him, Tamako holding all his rage inside, and started thinking of horrible things that could happen to his dad at that exact moment. “I hope you fall from the stairs and break your neck…” he thought. His father suddenly stopped yelling at him, turned around and walked to the stairs, tripping and falling, breaking his neck. Tamako was completely shocked, and called his mom for help. He thought of it as a coincidence, but still he didn’t feel any kind of blame, and even found it kind of funny.

He realized he actually did have powers one day at school, when having an argument with his teacher. He was in a way higher grade for his age due to his amazing intelligence. Anyways- since Tamako had an enormous ego and pride, he didn’t want to admit he was wrong in front of all the class (who were all older than him) and just kept on the argument. He then thought: “You stupid bastard are going to apology to me, and admit I’m right, you fucking idiot…” and so, the teacher suddenly stopped talking, cleared his throat, and apologized to Tamako, saying how wrong he had been and giving Tamako all the reason. Tamako was slightly confused, but quite happy, and so, he tried something out.. “Now you are going to stand up, and start yelling at that bitch who sits in front of your desk.. and then, you’ll slap her..”  He thought. And, to his not complete surprise now, the teacher did so. All the class was shocked, and one of Tamako’s classmates went look for the principal. But at that same moment, Tamako discovered his power’s limits. The last thing he thought was: “Now, every each last of you, stupid classmates and teachers, are going to stand up and exit school..” But nothing happened. He tried again. Still nothing. Kind of pissed, he gave up on it. From that moment, he started practicing and testing his powers, soon enough finding out about his slight telekinesis and premonitions.

He soon developed his sadistic, sarcastic and mocking personality, and like for playing with people’s emotions, and he applied that to his hobby; chess. He would manipulate his rival’s mind using only his moves, not his powers, and have a lot of fun when they fell on the trap.

He graduated from college at the age of 17, studying yet another career afterwards.

During that time, he developed his need of making people suffer even more, and soon started his criminal life. He escalated quickly on the criminal world, passing from a low profile fraud, to a sadistic kidnapper, to drug dealer and assassin. He was soon important on the low world, and was a famous criminal excelling in every field, from drugs to weapons, from quick kidnapping to murders- with a soft spot for human trafficking.  He loves to mentally play with his victims.

His objective? Be number one, be feared, be influent, become notorious.

His rivalry with Quantum Boy started once Quantum boy found out about his crimes and started to investigate him. Chess Maniac didn’t take long to notice this and take measures, trying to use Quantum Boy as an ally, and after he failed, just play with him.

He acts sarcastically loving with his mom, who lives with him. He often manipulates her, but not with his powers, with fear. On his anger outbursts he takes out all his frustration yelling at her or even beating her up, ending up laughing and taking her for her time.

He also gives chess classes, which he uses to drag down victims.

Has a lot of curiosity for Quantum Boy, but at the same time huge hate and envy. He tried to have him as an ally.

He was invited to make part of the elite, but he didn’t accept because, according to him, he “can’t have any kind of relationship with people with such a low I.Q”

His mental health is quite questionable

His “best friend” is Master of Spades, since he considers him one of the few one’s who has an I.Q possibly compared to him, although both of them think that they are more intelligent than the other, and are always throwing “friendly” contests with each other.

Since not him nor Quantum Boy know each other’s secret identity, they have a father-son relationship at school, Chess Maniac willing to do almost anything to protect him, thing he doesn’t do with anyone else.
